It is a bad sign that I am dreaming about Taiwanese food in my sleep. #reminiscingaboutfoodinmydreams With flour imported from Hokkaido, Zaku Zaku is very authentic! Originally from Japan, Zaku Zaku opened its first oversea branch in Taipei in 2016. The choux is shipped from Japan and they make the cream on the spot in Taipei. Nevertheless, you will be wowed by the crunchiness of the cream puff (not stale). My mother said it reminds her of Japan and my mom is a pretty picky eater. Despite having opened for over a year, Zaku Zaku was still very popular. The cream puff is delicious, so if you are in the area you have to try it. Another benefit of checking this place out is the fact that it is situated right next to the LINE store. A is a huge fan of LINE friends, so we went to the mall for the LINE store and found this place! A long queue has always piqued my interest. Duke trains you well for spotting a long line and joining it (all those free T-shirt > Pavlovian response). I spotted one and I joined it (actually... I made A stand in line for me AKA he volunteered while I continued to "fangirl" in front of the LINE store). I know, I am pretty bad. The line was not too long anyway (~10-15 minutes).
I love their cream puff and I think this is sooo much better than Beard Papa. I still love Beard Papa though since that is the only kind of cream puff that is available in the bay area. I miss my Japanese pastry (tear). Random thought of the day: why do people think a crocodile tear is not sincere? They are just lubricating their dry eyeballs while they are feeding. How can one even infer sincerity from such an action?

Address: 25 Hàng Cá, Hàng Bồ, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội, Vietnam T: +84 97 766 88 95 Opening Hours: 7AM-9PM Recommendation: ✩✩✩✩✩ Cost: $ A blast from the past! This banh mi costs $1.2 SGD or $1 USD and you have to try it if you are in Hanoi. The baguette is so fresh and crispy, but you gotta eat it while it is hot though. We had this banh mi 3 days in a row (even packed it for the flight home). The ingredient was fresh. You see backpackers lining up at 10AM for a light breakfast. Unlike some of the other banh mi places, Banh Mì 25 had a small sitting area for the guests. You can chill there and people watch or not (the air pollution was pretty bad when we were in Hanoi, so we try to stay indoor as much as possible) . It beats any sandwich place that we had any day. If you are worried about eating street food, don't worry this place is clean. I wished I could have packed 10 of these bad boys back home.
